Waiver Wire Gem Missed?

I see we passed up Scott Dunn on the waiver wire. I actually expected Littlefield to jump on this guy. Compare Dunn to Ryan Vogelsong and Victor Santos in their minor league career stats:

Santos: 9.14 H/9, 0.66 HR/9, 3.05 BB/9, 7.47 K/9, 1.35 WHIP
Vogey: 8.30 H/9, 0.82 HR/9, 3.44 BB/9, 9.22 K/9, 1.30 WHIP
Dunn: 7.59 H/9, 0.61 HR/9, 4.87 BB/9, 9.71 K/9, 1.38 WHIP

Dunn throws 96 – 98 mph. He just needs to find the plate more often. Notice the WHIP even with all the walks! If Colborn is as good as we think he is, and with the Pirates neededing some true heat in the pen, this guy might have made a very good reliever with a little work. I think we missed a good one.
